This real styled shoot was put together by one of our favorite vendors - Rachel Le from Rachel Le Events. Rachel has superb taste and attention to detail, which was what made us such a good team when we used to work together (this was when Design by Laney barely existed!), and it showed through in every little aspect of this beautiful shoot! Take a look at these dusty details and let us know what you think! Full vendor list is provided below, and all photos are courtesy of the talented and wonderful Garrett Richardson Photography.
The Happy Couple
First of all, can we talk about these beauties? This gorgeous bride is not only a model, but one of the top makeup and hair artists in Southern California! I met Savanna from A Toast to Beauty many years ago, and even created one of her first logos! Her company has pretty much exploded since then, and since I'm terrible at all things beauty-related, I am just constantly in awe of her. Plus, she killed it as a model for this shoot (bonus: that's her real life hubby that she's canoodling with here!).
We started with a gorgeous color palette for this shoot, and of course a little extra inspiration from the beautiful venue, The Santaluz Club. We had to incorporate some garden vibes, through the beautiful watercolor rose on the invitation and the matching envelope liner. This suite is now available in our shop as a Semi-Custom Invitation Suite, if you'd like to make it your own - this version has the added touch of some rose gold leaf on the outer envelopes and of course a wax seal from our favorite place!
For the boutonniere labels, we used handmade paper with our favorite deckled edges, and dipped them in a variegated mauve and blush watercolor. We used that same handmade paper to create folded menu booklets, and tied them with a silk ribbon. Then we pulled in more of the rose gold from the cutlery with spray-painted slate coasters as a joint wedding favor and place card (we love multi-tasking!).
Perhaps our favorite part of this shoot from a stationery perspective was the gorgeous seating chart Rachel dreamed up! We kept the handmade paper theme, and attached them to clear acrylic with wax seals - how gorgeous is this?!
